Enter the modern day plague tonic. This remedy has many variations also goes by the name of master tonic and fire cider depending on the ingredients used.
Plague Tonic is the most powerful food-based antibiotic available. Essential oils and herbs are also powerful medicine but need to be used with caution and can cause reaction in those of us with allergies. Food-based remedies are effective and often much safer.
Plague Tonic: A Flu Shot Alternative
This
fiery remedy is antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, detoxifying,
helps break up mucous, and promotes circulation that increases the
effectiveness of white blood cells.
It is a
live food full of enzymes and contains important compounds to improve
general health as well as during times of illness like sulfur, Vitamin
C, and many phytonutrients. It is also a great digestive aid.
Ingredients
- 2 large onions
- 4 heads of garlic
- 3 inches of fresh ginger
- 6 hot peppers (jalapenos, habaneros, cayenne, etc.)
- 32 ounces raw apple cider vinegar with mother
Instructions
- Rinse all produce thoroughly.
- Drop into blender whole.
- Add vinegar until it reaches 3/4 full.
- Pulse on low until all ingredients are chopped, then blend until consistency of cooked oatmeal.
- Add the rest of the vinegar or until it reaches 1 inch below top of blender bowl.
- Blend until smooth.
- Transfer to airtight container and let sit in a dark place for 2 weeks.
- Strain and return to airtight container and store in a cool, dark place or refrigerate.
- Use within 1 year.
Dosage
As health tonic: 1 Tablespoon daily
Illness prevention: 1-3 Tablespoons 3 times per day
During acute illness: 2-4 tablespoons every 1-3 hours
Can be mixed or followed with raw, local honey to cut the heat.
